The Emergency Medical Center of our hospital is the only tertiary emergency medical center (capable of admitting severely ill patients, as designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) in the prefecture.
The Emergency Medical Center is equipped with operation rooms, ICUs, an emergency medical care ward, a high-pressure oxygen treatment chamber, and a heliport serviceable 24 hours a day in order to accommodate incoming severely ill patients as well as a large number of patients in the event of a natural disaster.
