Information for Outpatients

Outpatient Guide

Open on: Monday - Friday
Check-in opening hours: First visit: 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Return visit (with no appointment): 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
(Automated check-in kiosk only between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.)
Examinations start at: 8:30 a.m.
Closed on: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays, Year-end and New Year holidays (12/29 – 1/3)

Check-in

With referral:

  • Please come to “B: Check-in with referral” regardless of whether this is your first visit or return visit.

Without referral:

  • Please come to “C: Check-in for first visit/return visit” if this is your first visit.
  • Please check in at automated check-in kiosk if you have a patient registration card.
  • Please come to “C: Check-in for first visit/return visit” if you do not have a patient registration card.

After checking in:

  • A Numbered Ticket will be issued which includes a reception number and the day’s schedule such as your appointment time for your exam. Please bring the Numbered Ticket immediately to the reception desk for outpatients.
  • Please be seated in the waiting area until your number is displayed on the monitor screen next to the reception desk.
  • If you are required to take some tests prior to seeing a doctor, please come to the reception desk in front of the testing room.

After the examination/test:

  • Please submit the numbered ticket that you received in the exam room to the department reception, and wait in the vicinity.
  • After you are informed that the accounting procedures have been completed by a staff member, please proceed to settle your medical bill.
  • If you were examined in more than one department, please proceed with settling your medical bill after completing your final examination.

Medical fee payment

  • Please proceed with the payment at a cash dispenser in the hospital or “D: Accounting” desk and obtain a payment notification/receipt.
  • We accept major credit cards.
    ※You may make a payment at the Emergency Medical Center (near the After-hours Entrance on the 1F North side) after 5 p.m.

Medication/prescription

There is a “prescription number ticket” attached to your payment notification/receipt.

  • If “External pharmacy” is indicated on the “prescription number ticket”:
    Please bring the prescription you received at the clinical department to your insurance pharmacy and get your medication.
    Please pay for your medication at the pharmacy. You may fax your prescription to your insurance pharmacy (from a fax machine on the 1st floor) in advance so that you do not have to wait for a long time in the pharmacy.
  • If only the number is indicated on the “prescription number ticket”:
    Please submit your “prescription number ticket” to the After-hours pharmacy on the 1st floor of the hospital and get your medication.

For the next appointment

  • Please review the “Appointment ticket” attached to your payment notification/receipt.
  • If you do not have a follow-up appointment, “There is no appointment” is indicated on the Appointment ticket.

Emergency visit (24 hours)

Please come to the Emergency Medical Center in case of emergency. We accept patients 24/7 all year around.

  • In some cases, we prioritize more urgent patients with more severe symptoms instead of seeing them on a first-come-first-served basis. In such cases, we may ask you to wait for your turn.
  • We only provide first aid in the Emergency Medical Center. You need to visit the specialized department the following day (earliest possible day).
  • Please make an appointment and visit as an outpatient during daytime if you are making follow-up visits for chronic diseases or seeking medical check-up/consultation and vaccination, instead of coming to the Emergency Medical Center.
  • Please access the Emergency Medical Center from the After-hours Entrance on the north side of the hospital.
  • In addition to the regular medical fee, an additional fee for the first visit (5,090 yen) as well as an additional fee for return visits (2,540 yen) will be charged for visits without referral.
